Warranty Policies as Defined by the Manufacturers for 2005

All manufactures provide a warranty for the equipment they sell. The warranty coverage varies.

     Some manufactures provide "on - site" service for their high end products. This would cover reasonable travel time by a factory authorized service technician, and most on board trouble shooting and repair.

     Most equipment warranties are "carry in", this means you remove it and carry it in to a service center, or you ship it at your expense to the manufacturer. If you insist on a factory-trained technician coming to your vessel to perform warranty work, you will be responsible for paying whatever time the manufacturer does not cover.

     Most manufactures do not pay freight in or out for a warranty repair. Some will pay the freight back to you (but not all of them). Most will only ship ground freight. If you want air freight, you can usually request it at an additional cost.

     Listed below are the coverages you can expect from the various manufactures. These policies are the latest information available and may not apply to equipment built prior to 1998. While we have done our best to insure the accuracy of these policies, we can not be held responsible for out dated or incorrect information.
